'Greed is a sin': 'Looksmaxxing' influencer 'Clavicular' breaks silence on teenage girl's rape allegation

Social media influencer Braden Peters, popularly known online as 'Clavicular', has broken his silence after being charged in Massachusetts in connection with an alleged sexual assault. Peters, who has a large online fan base due to 'looksmaxxing' content, addressed the allegations against him on social media platforms, sharing screenshots of private messages and a handwritten letter connected to his accuser. "Greed is a sin," Peters captioned his video post while indicating that money was the reason behind the allegations against him. It has been reported in several media outlets quoting the court documents that the charges were filed on September 8 and include one count of rape, one count of drugging a person for sexual intercourse and one count of procuring alcohol for someone under 21.

In his social media response, Peters claimed there was 'a better way to make money' than suing someone following a rejection. He also shared what appeared to be messages from a person saved in his phone as 'Leksy', along with a handwritten note. The materials appeared to show friendly communications, though their context and relevance to the criminal case have not been established in court.

WHAT ARE THE CHARGES AGAINST CLAVICULAR?

Court documents, cited by several news outlets, indicate that Peters is accused of rape and drugging a person for sexual intercourse as well as a crime associated with serving alcohol to a minor. NBC News reports that these accusations are believed to be in connection with an event that took place on May 23, 2025, in Chatham, Massachusetts. In addition to these serious accusations, there were allegations of rape of a teenage girl in a lawsuit filed separately against Peters. These allegations have been denied by Peters through his lawyer. Peters is slated to be arraigned in Orleans District Court on October 14.

WHO IS 'LOOKSMAXXING' INFLUENCER CLAVICULAR?

Peters built an online following around 'looksmaxxing', a trend centered on attempts to maximize physical attractiveness, sometimes through extreme practices. His content has included discussion of 'bonesmashing', a potentially dangerous practice involving deliberately striking facial bones.

The accusations have now put Peters under further scrutiny despite his questionable social media presence. According to the statement released by Mitchell Jackson who is Peters' spokesperson, he had not yet been served and disputed the initial reporting of the charges.

At the moment, Peters' social media response to the accusations can only be viewed as a response and not an official ruling on the occurrence of the events. The accusations remain unproven allegations for the time being, and they will go through the Massachusetts judicial process.
