PlayStation Plus just added four major games you won’t want to miss — here is all you need to know
PlayStation Plus subscribers receive new games this August, including Helldivers 2 and Kingdom Come. Vampire Survivors and Hell Is Us also join the Game Catalog for members. Premium subscribers can enjoy classic titles Onimusha and Disney's Atlant...

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced the lineup on August 12, with Helldivers 2 becoming available immediately for PlayStation Plus Extra members. Most of the remaining additions will arrive on August 18.
The August selection spans multiplayer action, medieval role-playing, survival arcade gameplay and dark mystery, giving subscribers several very different ways to spend the month.
Helldivers 2 arrives with a major update
The biggest name in the lineup is Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Game Studios' co-op shooter.Players can team up with as many as three friends and take on hostile alien forces threatening Super Earth. The game's chaotic battles are built around heavy weapons, explosives and coordinated teamwork — although friendly fire remains permanently active, making even a successful mission potentially unpredictable.
Its PlayStation Plus arrival also coincides with the game's new Devoid of Liberty update, which sends players toward the mysterious Illuminate Void and introduces a fresh threat to the ongoing galactic conflict.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II brings medieval Bohemia
For players looking for something slower and more story-driven, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II offers a sprawling role-playing adventure set in 15th-century Bohemia. The game places players in an authentic medieval world where exploration, combat and personal choices shape the journey. Its addition gives PlayStation Plus subscribers a substantial RPG alongside the month's faster-paced titles.
Vampire Survivors offers simple but addictive chaos
Vampire Survivors takes a very different approach.Instead of relying on complicated controls, the game puts players in increasingly intense battles against huge waves of enemies. The objective is straightforward: survive, collect upgrades and become powerful enough to withstand the growing swarm.
Its pick-up-and-play format makes it one of the more accessible additions in the August PlayStation Plus lineup.
Hell Is Us adds a darker mystery
Hell Is Us rounds out the headline additions with a darker action-adventure experience.Players travel through lands overrun by terrifying creatures known as chimaeras while attempting to uncover the mystery behind their sudden appearance. The game combines exploration and combat with a story built around unanswered questions and an unsettling atmosphere.
Two classic games join PlayStation Plus Premium
Premium subscribers also have two older PlayStation-era adventures to revisit.Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams arrives for PS5 and PS4, taking players into a supernatural version of feudal Japan. Originally released on PS2, the game follows Soki and his allies as they battle the demonic Genma.
Also joining the Premium lineup is Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire, based on the animated film and originally released for the first PlayStation. The updated version includes features such as up-rendering, rewind, quick save and custom video filters.
When can PlayStation Plus members play?
Helldivers 2 is available from August 12, while the other main Game Catalog additions are scheduled for August 18, unless otherwise indicated.Sony has also warned that the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog can vary by region. Subscribers should therefore check their local PlayStation Store when the games are released.
With a major multiplayer shooter, a high-profile RPG, an indie survival hit, a dark action adventure and two classic titles, August is shaping up to be one of the more varied PlayStation Plus Game Catalog months of 2026.
