Jared Leto faces new sexual misconduct allegations from 10 women. Here's all we know

Academy Award-winning actor Jared Leto is facing fresh allegations of sexual misconduct from 10 women, including four who accuse him of criminal sexual conduct. Several of the women claim they were teenagers when the alleged incidents took place between 2002 and 2016, according to a new BBC documentary titled Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret.

The documentary features accounts from women who say they met Leto when he was in his 30s and 40s. Nine of the 10 women have spoken publicly about their experiences for the first time. According to the BBC, Leto did not respond to repeated requests for comment on the allegations.

One woman alleged that Leto sexually assaulted her in a motel bathroom when she was 17 years old. While another said Leto made a sexually explicit comment about her body when she was 14 during an autograph signing before asking a security guard to escort her backstage at a music festival. According to her account, when her mother confronted the actor, he repeated the remark.


A third accuser alleged she had a sexual relationship with Leto when she was 17 in California, where the age of consent was 18 at the time. She claimed that when the legality of the relationship was discussed, Leto dismissed the concern.
Another woman alleged that Leto groomed her from the age of 16 through repeated sexually explicit phone calls. She also claimed she later received a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) intended to prevent her from speaking publicly about theirrelationship but refused to sign it. The BBC said it reviewed the NDA.

Another woman claimed the actor threatened her with sexual assault when she was 19 after the two were left alone in a hotel room.

Four other women told the broadcaster they received phone calls from Leto when they were younger that they described as "strange and often very sexual."

Former associates raise concerns

The BBC investigation also includes testimony from two former associates of Leto's rock band, Thirty Seconds to Mars. They claimed they were uncomfortable with the actor's interactions with teenage girls and alleged that he would invite them backstage to his dressing room or to the house where he was recording music.

One former crew member said staff members believed the age difference between Leto and some of the girls was inappropriate.

The BBC said it corroborated several of the women's accounts through conversations with friends and family members who were told about the alleged incidents at the time. It also reviewed photographs and messages that it said supported parts of the allegations.

Jared Leto previously denied similar allegations

The latest claims come after an Air Mail investigation published in June 2025, in which nine women accused Leto of inappropriate sexual behaviour. Some of those women also alleged they were underage when they first encountered the actor.

At the time, Leto's representatives denied the allegations, saying he had not engaged in sexual misconduct or inappropriate relationships with women.

Separately, Los Angeles DJ Allie Teilz alleged on social media last year that Leto assaulted her when she was 17, prompting other women to make similar claims. Leto denied those allegations as well.

Jared Leto, 54, is an Academy Award-winning actor and musician who has been a prominent figure in Hollywood since the 1990s. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Dallas Buyers Club in 2014.

He is also the lead vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and primary songwriter of the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, which he co-founded with his brother Shannon Leto in 1998. The band has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide.

Leto is known for his roles in Dallas Buyers Club, Fight Club, Blade Runner 2049, Suicide Squad, and most recently, Masters of the Universe.
