Students plan Assembly march as Ranchi talks end in deadlock

New Delhi: The second round of talks between representatives of protesting students and the government-led ministers' panel was held in Ranchi on Saturday, but ended without any resolution.

After Saturday's meeting, state minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu said the state government was releasing an email ID and number through which students could submit suggestions on large-scale reforms.

"We will continue to meet with various student groups and stakeholders. We will meet with all of them. Additionally, we are releasing an email ID. JPSSC.feedback@gmail.com. Any student, individual, or stakeholder can send suggestions to this address, and we intend to formulate a reform policy and reach a collective decision based on everyone's input. The government will take their concerns into account based on the emails received," Sonu told media persons in Ranchi.

Earlier, a delegation of NSUI, Congress student union, also met Sonu and pressed for the demands of the protesting students.

Meanwhile, the protesting students are preparing for a march to the state Assembly in Ranchi on Monday, pressing for their demands.

The students' demands include cancellation of the 14th recruitment examination of Jharkhand Public Service Commission over irregularities and handing over the investigation to the CBI. They are also demanding the formation of fast-track courts to hear the cases for quick disposal. The students want all the involved officers of JPSC to be suspended.
