‘Spend more on R&D’: FM Sitharaman’s roadmap from ‘Made in India’ to ‘Imagined in India’
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman addressed the All India Management Association’s Platinum Jubilee National Management Convention in New Delhi, outlining her vision for India’s next phase of growth. Speaking on “Transforming For Tomorrow: Growth With Resilience”, she called on corporate India to invest more in R&D, improve quality, build stronger institutions and expand beyond India’s urban elite. Sitharaman also urged businesses to move from “Made in India” to “Imagined in India” by creating products, technologies, patents and intellectual property for global markets.
