Nitin Gadkari moves High Court against deep fake videos
Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Monday allowed Union minister Nitin Gadkari's application to file a civil suit against the alleged circulation of defamatory and deepfake content about him on the internet related to the ethanol-blended petrol programme. Justice Abhay Ahuja gave an oral order allowing Gadkari's application. The detailed order was not available when this story was filed.

The petition also names Meta Platforms, X, Google, the IT ministry and the Department of Telecommunications as respondents.
