Manipur Govt & UNC hold talks in Senapati; Nishikant Dubey blames Congress for Northeast unrest

The Manipur government and the United Naga Council (UNC) held their first round of peace talks in Senapati, with both sides describing the meeting as “fruitful and cordial” and agreeing to continue discussions. The UNC, however, remains firm on its four-point charter of demands, including scrapping the SoO pact with Kuki militant groups and declaring KNF-P a terrorist organisation. The blockade on NH-2 and NH-37 continues, even as BJP MP Nishikant Dubey blamed the Congress for the roots of unrest in Nagaland and Manipur.
