J&K draped in tricolour: Students lead Tiranga rallies in border areas ahead of Independence Day

Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a vibrant wave of patriotism ahead of India’s 80th Independence Day, with students, women and citizens participating in Tiranga rallies across Doda, Jammu, Kathua, Poonch and Udhampur. From border villages to towns, participants carried the Tricolour and paid tribute to freedom fighters while highlighting national unity, brotherhood and the spirit of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’. In Kathua, more than 5,000 people joined a Tricolour rally, while security remained on high alert in Srinagar ahead of August 15.
