Heavy rains force postponement of exams across Kerala

The General Education Department has made a decision to put off the State Eligibility Test which was set for August 2nd due to the damaging downpour in several localities within Kerala.

According to an official statement released by the department, it is said that a new date for the examination will soon be released. The department also asked candidates to frequently visit their official website and be updated.

It also stated that the postponement of the higher secondary examination which was set to take place on August 2nd was due to heavy rainfall that impeded normalcy of the activities in the state.

The announcement of a new date will be made soon, officials said.

Mahatma Gandhi University has also suspended its exams which were supposed to take place on August 3rd due to the bad weather affecting the area.

Delhi University has also announced that no new dates have been set for the postponed examinations.

Meanwhile, the Kerala Public Service Commission has stated that candidates of flood/landslide areas who could not take the exams on August 3rd would be re-examined later.
