80th I-Day: Vande Mataram to be sung before National Anthem from Red Fort, marking 150 years

India will celebrate its 80th Independence Day at the Red Fort on August 15 with a special focus on ‘Yuva Shakti: Leading the journey to Viksit Bharat @2047’. For the first time, Vande Mataram will be sung from the Red Fort ramparts as India marks 150 years of the national song. Over 27,000 people are expected to stand during the rendition. Meanwhile, PM Modi has urged citizens to make ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ a celebration in every household and renew their pledge towards building a Viksit Bharat.
