Taiwan-based electronic chip firm Media Tek's Chairman MK Tsai today met Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and expressed keen interest in expanding presence.

NEW DELHI: Taiwanese chipset maker MediaTek is keen on expanding its presence in India, enthused by the investment friendly-climate in country and initiatives like Digital India, its chairman said in a meeting with the Communications and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.

MK Tsai told Prasad that India held great market potential in the field of technology and high-tech services, a statement issued by the minister’s office said Friday. “The minister shared the Digital India vision and how it had opened new avenues and opportunities in the field of technology,” the statement added.
