Infosys fined around ₹2 crore in France over employee time-tracking system

Infosys has been fined €175,000 (around ₹2 crore) by a French labour authority for not fully complying with requirements related to its employee working-time recording system, the company said in a regulatory filing on Saturday.

The penalty was imposed by DRIEETS Île-de-France, the regional labour, employment and social solidarity authority in France. Infosys received the communication regarding the fine on July 24, 2026, it said.

The authority found that Infosys’ system for recording employee working hours had certain shortcomings, including issues related to its reliability, auditability and monitoring capabilities for some categories of employees.


Infosys said the penalty will not have any material impact on its financials, operations or other activities.

“The Company was in the process of checking the veracity and determining further steps, upon receipt of communication,” Infosys said, explaining the delay in making the disclosure.
