Brookfield Asset Management, controlled by Brookfield Corporation, has more than $1 trillion of assets under management. The Oaktree group is engaged in alternative investment management services.

In a separate statement, the regulator said Go Digit General Insurance (GDGIL) will be the surviving entity after its amalgamation with its holding company Go Digit Infoworks Services.
