Mutual fund SIP inflows climb marginally MoM to Rs 31,961 crore in July

Mutual fund SIP inflows rose marginally to Rs 31,961 crore in July against an inflow of Rs 31,781 crore in June. On a year-on-year basis, SIP inflows increased 12% from Rs 28,464 crore in July 2025.

Equity mutual fund inflows, meanwhile, dropped 15% to Rs 24,697 crore in July against an inflow of Rs 28,973 crore in the previous month. Among the 11-sub categories, small cap funds received the highest inflow of Rs 7,767 crore, marking the highest ever inflow in the category

Midcap mutual funds received the second-highest inflows at Rs 6,192 crore, followed by flexicap funds, which attracted Rs 4,709 crore during the month. Large & midcap and multicap funds received inflows of Rs 3,425 crore and Rs 3,227 crore, respectively.


Four equity mutual fund categories recorded outflows in July. Largecap funds saw the highest outflow at Rs 1,321 crore, followed by ELSS funds at Rs 959 crore. Dividend-yield and value/contra funds also recorded outflows of Rs 169 crore and Rs 144 crore, respectively.

Month-on-month, small-cap funds recorded the highest increase in inflows at 39%, followed by multicap funds, which saw a 5% rise. Focused funds, meanwhile, recorded a 43% decline in inflows.

Debt funds received inflows of Rs 1.87 lakh crore in July, reversing outflows of Rs 2.06 lakh crore recorded over the previous two months. In July 2025, the category had attracted inflows of Rs 1.06 lakh crore.

Of the 16 debt fund sub-categories, seven recorded inflows. Liquid funds received the highest inflow at Rs 1.19 lakh crore, followed by overnight funds and money market funds, which attracted Rs 40,412 crore and Rs 21,180 crore, respectively.

Corporate bond funds recorded the highest outflow at Rs 784 crore, followed by long-duration funds, which saw an outflow of Rs 618 crore during the month.
