Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company announced on Monday that its total Assets Under Management (AUM) across its mutual fund, Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), and Portfolio Management Services (PMS) businesses have crossed the significant milestone of Rs 2 lakh crore as on August 7, 2026.

According to a press release by the fund house, the milestone underscores the company's continued commitment to its growth investing style and differentiated investment philosophy of Quality, Growth, Longevity and Price (QGLP), while reinforcing its position as a predominantly equity-focused asset manager.

"Crossing the Rs 2 lakh crore AUM milestone is a significant moment in our journey. It echoes the trust our investors, partners and stakeholders have placed in us. We have remained committed to building high growth in earnings focused portfolios, following our QGLP investment philosophy, with a long-term perspective backed by disciplined risk management,” said Prateek Agrawal, MD & CEO, Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company.

“As investor participation continues to deepen across the country, we remain focused on providing investment solutions aligned with investors' needs, expanding our product offerings across active and passive strategies, across MF, PMS and AIF platforms and supporting investors in pursuing their long-term financial goals,” Agrawal further said.

During FY2026, the fund house expanded its product suite by launching 18 passive mutual funds and five active mutual funds, while further strengthening its passive investment platform across Indian equities, international equities, factor-based strategies, sectoral funds, commodities, multi-asset solutions and debt. The broader product basket is intended to cater to investors who are new to equity investing or have a relatively lower risk appetite.

The company added approximately 56.08 lakh SIPs during FY2026 and recorded an all-time high SIP inflow of Rs 16,479 crore. It also witnessed growth in gross sales and lower redemptions during the period. Additionally, the evolution of its investment process with an increased focus on consistency alongside returns has contributed to its investment approach.

The Indian mutual fund industry continued to make steady progress during FY2026, supported by sustained retail participation, increasing financialisation of savings and resilient SIP flows despite relatively volatile market conditions. Looking ahead, continued SIP penetration, growing participation beyond the top cities, increasing digital adoption and the rising role of Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) may support the industry's long-term growth, said the press release.

Backed by its diversified investment platform, disciplined investment philosophy and expanding product offerings, Motilal Oswal AMC remains well positioned to capitalize on these structural opportunities and continue creating long-term value for investors.

The QGLP strategy emphasizes investments in companies with a high quality of business and management, strong earnings growth potential, sustainable longevity, and attractive price valuations. While these factors are considered when constructing the portfolio, there is no assurance that this approach will outperform the market or provide positive returns, the release further said.
