Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Simbhaoli Sugars(20.0%), Sakthi Sugars(20.0%), Hardcastle Waud(19.99%), FACT(19.99%), Ind Bank Hous(19.97%), Rajshree Sugars(19.96%), NEO Infracon(19.71%), Pradhin Ltd.(17.27%) and Ugar Sugar Work(16.87%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 461.22 points down at 61337.81, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 145.9 points down at 18269.0.


In the Nifty50 index, 5 stocks closed in the green, while 44 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as FACT, Ind Bank Hous, National Fert, Akme Star Housing and Yashraj Contain hit their fresh 52-week high, while Cerebra Integrat, Indiabulls Intgrtd, Sintex Inds., Dharmaj Crop Guard Ltd. and Metropolis Health touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
