The company announced its Q1 FY27 results after market hours on Friday through a regulatory filing with the BSE. Revenue from operations rose 21.6% YoY to Rs 13,453 crore from Rs 11,064 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Total comprehensive income stood at Rs 4,817.52 crore, up 98% from Rs 2,429.81 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The total expenses of the company jumped from Rs 9,386.16 crore in the June quarter last year to Rs 10,102.64 crore in this quarter, driven by cost of materials consumed, as well as purchases of stock-in-trade, employee benefit expense, finance cost, depreciation, and amortization expense as well as other expenses.
According to the company’s newsletter for June, it was awarded the special appreciation award in the Mahindra Supplier Excellence category, as a long-term strategic partner of the company.
Shares of the company have fallen over 6% in the last six months, and have declined over 7% in the year so far. However, in the last three years, the stock has gained over 19%.
The company is currently focusing on expanding its digital footprint and enhancing its global distribution network to maintain its competitive edge in the power transmission industry.
