As many as 25 companies including Vedanta Aluminium Metal, Hyundai Motor India, Brigade Enterprises, Berger Paints and others are set to turn ex-record date for dividends on Wednesday (August 5), effectively making today the last day for interested investors to buy the shares to be eligible for payments cumulatively worth nearly Rs 430.

As per Sebi's T+1 settlement cycle, investors must buy a company's shares at least one trading day before the record date to ensure the shares are credited to their demat accounts in time, and they become eligible for the corporate action. Accordingly, today is the last opportunity for investors to buy the shares so that they are credited to their accounts by Friday, making them eligible for the dividends.

Vedanta Aluminium dividend

Vedanta Aluminium last month announced its first interim dividend of Rs 8 per share on a face value of Re 1 for FY27, which began on April 1, 2026. The company has fixed August 5 (Wednesday) as the record date to determine shareholders' eligibility for the dividend. Shareholders who hold the company's shares in their demat accounts as of the record date will be eligible to receive the dividend.


This came as the newly-listed company reported a more than three fold year-on-year (YoY) jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 5,629 crore for the first quarter of FY27, while revenue from operations rose 46% YoY to Rs 21,393 crore.

Hyundai Motor dividend

Hyundai Motor India has declared a dividend of Rs 21 per share for FY26, with the record date being fixed on Wednesday, effectively making today the last date to buy the shares of the company to be eligible for the dividend payout.

The company announced the dividend in May this year, along with its Q1 earnings. It reported a 23% year-on-year (YoY) decline in its standalone net profit at Rs 1,221 crore for the March-ended quarter. The same stood at Rs 1,582 crore a year ago.

Some other notable names who have fixed Wednesday as the record date for their respective dividends include Ajanta Pharma (Rs 32 per share), Berger Paints (Rs 4 per share), Brigade Enterprises (Rs 2 per share), Goodyear India (Rs 26.5 per share) and Somany Ceramics (Rs 2 per share).

Disa India accounts for the highest dividend payout among the stocks turning ex-record date for dividends on Wednesday, with a final dividend of Rs 200 per share. Bayer CropScience and Automotive Axles will pay final dividends of Rs 60 per share and Rs 32 per share, respectively, while Gandhi Special Tubes will pay a final dividend of Rs 15 per share. Matrimony.Com will pay Rs 5 per share, Munjal Showa will pay Rs 4.5 per share, Fermenta Biotech will pay Rs 3.75 per share, and Sika Interplant Systems will pay Rs 3.5 per share.

Other companies turning ex-record date for final dividends on Wednesday include Indef Manufacturing (Rs 2 per share), Somany Ceramics (Rs 2 per share), Anuh Pharma (Rs 1.5 per share), Indag Rubber (Rs 1.5 per share), Shreyans Industries (Rs 1.5 per share), Mukesh Babu Financial Services (Rs 1.2 per share), TD Power Systems (Rs 1.1 per share), Updater Services (Rs 1 per share), ADF Foods (Rs 0.6 per share), and Oriental Aromatics (Rs 0.5 per share).

Additionally, Tembo Global Industries will turn ex-record date for a stock split from Rs 10 to Rs 1 per share.
