Revenue from operations rose 18.6 per cent to ₹10,820.80 crore from ₹9,126.14 crore a year earlier.

Mumbai: Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) on Wednesday reported a 10.2% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit for the June quarter, driven by higher cargo volumes, strong growth in its international ports business and expansion in marine services.

The country's largest private port operator posted a consolidated net profit of ₹3,649.50 crore for the April-June period, compared with ₹3,310.60 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue from operations rose 18.6 per cent to ₹10,820.80 crore from ₹9,126.14 crore a year earlier. Total income increased to ₹11,673.71 crore, aided by a rise in other income to ₹852.91 crore from ₹296.04 crore.

Total expenses climbed 23.5% year-on-year to ₹7,078.64 crore. EBITDA rose 19 per cent to ₹6,541 crore, while the EBITDA margin remained steady at 60.4 per cent.

The company's international ports business was the key growth driver, with revenue surging 80% to ₹1,747 crore, led by the integration of NQXT Australia and higher volumes at the Colombo terminal. Overseas cargo volumes nearly tripled to 22.8 million metric tonnes (MMT) from 7.7 MMT a year ago.

Domestic ports revenue grew 12% as cargo volumes increased to 115.3 MMT from 112.9 MMT in the year-ago quarter. Marine services revenue rose 67% to ₹901 crore, supported by fleet additions.
