Polymer prices fall on poor demand
Prices of both low and high density polymer declined in the wholesale plastic market following slackness in demand from consuming industries amid increased supply.
However, other polymer prices continued to be asked at last levels on little, alternate trading.
Marketmen said reduced offtake by plastic carry bag makers and helmet makers coupled with increased supply led to fall in prices.
Ld no 40 and no 400 lost to close at Rs 85.00 and Rs 86.00 from Rs 86.00 and Rs 86.50 a kilo respectively on sluggish demand.
HD blowing and HD moulding (deshi) turned weak from Rs 80.00 and Rs 81.00 at Rs 79.00 and Rs 80.00 a kilo on poor offtake by helmet makers.
HD moulding colour also dropped by rupee one at Rs 84.00 a kilo.
