Woman, who has not been to the parlour in three years shares DIY secret behind her pimple-free, radiant skin: ‘It requires just three ingredients’
Tired of acne/pimples on your face? A beauty influencer recently shared the recipe for a DIY face wash using just three ingredients, which can not just help your skin get rid of pimples but also boost its natural glow.

Taking to Instagram, Priyanka Ray shared the recipe for the face wash and explained how it works in helping your look get rid of acne and look radiant. The face wash is made of three natural ingredients – oats flour that gets rid of excessive oil without rupturing the skin barrier, rhassoul clay that works on your pigmentation, and kasturi turmeric that is great for treating dark spots and tanning.
In the post, Priyanka revealed further what makes these ingredients so powerful: Oat flour contains naturally occurring compounds called saponins that can help remove dirt, oil, and impurities from the skin, allowing it to function as a mild cleansing ingredient rather than merely soaking up excess oil. It also provides beta-glucan and avenanthramides, compounds associated with soothing and supporting irritated skin. Among homemade skincare ingredients, colloidal oatmeal stands out because its benefits have been supported by dermatological research.
Rhassoul clay works differently from conventional cleansing agents. Its mineral composition can help attract and remove excess sebum and impurities through ionic interactions, without relying on traditional surfactants. This makes it less likely to leave the skin feeling excessively dry or tight after cleansing. Compared with stronger clays such as multani mitti and bentonite, rhassoul is often considered a milder option, although any clay-based product can cause dryness or irritation if used too frequently, particularly on sensitive or already dehydrated skin.
If you cannot find rhassoul clay, she suggested you supplement it with besan or gram flour – traditionally used in ubtan packs, this ingredient is great for cleansing your skin of dirt and impurities.
