Techie achieved American dream, left US with Rs 100 crore in bank, now lives in Indian village: ‘No amount of money can compensate…’
An X post outlining how a techie despite Rs 100 crore in his bank and a prosperous career in Silicon Valley, USA, chose to give it all up and retire to a remote village in India and spent his time in spiritual activities

In his post, Vineeth recounted the journey of a former college companion whose professional accomplishments were exceptional but whose personal life eventually unraveled. Through years of relentless dedication and perseverance, the man established a successful technology company in Silicon Valley, earning immense wealth and professional recognition. To outsiders, he seemed to embody success, possessing the career, financial security, and lifestyle that many dream of achieving. Beneath that image, however, a devastating personal crisis began unfolding nearly two years ago.
Vineeth explained that the entrepreneur became caught in an intense family dispute involving his wife, who had also studied with them during college, along with her parents and brother. What initially appeared to be domestic disagreements reportedly intensified into lengthy legal battles. The prolonged conflict took a severe emotional toll, exposing him to constant courtroom proceedings, mounting psychological pressure, and the heartbreaking separation from his young child.
The situation became even more painful when he was allegedly prevented from meeting or spending time with his child. Although he had established a rewarding life in the United States, the emotional burden eventually outweighed every professional achievement. Choosing peace over prestige, he abandoned his flourishing career abroad and returned to India, settling in a peaceful rural village rather than continuing his demanding corporate lifestyle.
Despite possessing wealth estimated at more than ₹100 crore, the former Silicon Valley entrepreneur now embraces a modest existence focused on healing rather than ambition. Instead of chasing greater business success or expanding his fortune, he spends his time pursuing spirituality, introspection, and emotional recovery. His priorities have shifted dramatically from accumulating wealth to restoring mental balance and finding lasting inner peace.
Vineeth also noted that this was not an isolated incident. Over the years, he had witnessed several highly successful individuals whose fortunes failed to shield them from emotional suffering rooted in family disputes and personal hardships. Reflecting on these experiences, he stressed that financial prosperity alone cannot ensure happiness, healthy relationships, or peace of mind. He concluded by encouraging people to safeguard their emotional and mental well-being with the same commitment they devote to building wealth, emphasizing that genuine inner peace remains life's most priceless treasure.
