This week's releases bring fresh premieres alongside new episodes of fan-favourite series, featuring stars like Gong Hyo Jin, Kim Hye Soo, Hwang In Youp, Hyeri, Park Eun-bin and Ji Sung. If you're planning your watchlist, here are six Korean dramas worth checking out across Netflix, Rakuten Viki, Viu and JioHotstar.

1. A Bona Fide Killer - Rakuten Viki
The biggest new arrival this week is A Bona Fide Killer, which premiered on July 31 on Rakuten Viki. The 14-episode MBC drama releases new episodes every Friday and Saturday.

The thriller stars Gong Hyo Jin, Jung Jun-won and Lee Sang-yi. The story follows a woman who appears to be an ordinary mother but secretly lives a second life as a legendary sniper. The twist comes when her investigative journalist husband unknowingly begins searching for the mysterious killer, without realising that the person he is chasing is his own wife. The suspense-filled premise has already made it one of the most talked-about new releases of the week.


2. The Affair Was Just the Beginning – Viu

Another fresh release is The Affair Was Just the Beginning, which debuted on July 31 on Viu. The black comedy features Kim Hye Soo, Cho Yeo Jeong, Kim Ji Hoon and Kim Jae Chul in leading roles. The series revolves around two neighbouring couples whose relationships are already falling apart.

One couple projects the image of a perfect family on social media, while the other is going through a bitter divorce. A hidden secret soon brings both families together, leading to unexpected twists where an affair becomes only the beginning of much bigger problems.

3. Dream To You – Rakuten Viki
Romance fans can continue following Dream To You on Rakuten Viki, where Episodes 5 and 6 were released on July 27 and July 28, respectively.

The drama stars Hwang In Youp, Hyeri, Baek Sung Chul and Lee Yul Eum. It tells the story of an award-winning film director and a former aspiring filmmaker who gave up her dream to become a reporter. Fifteen years after they part ways, the two reunite and slowly rediscover both their ambitions and their feelings for each other. The series also marks the first on-screen pairing of Hwang In Youp and Hyeri.

4. A Shop for Killers Season 2 – JioHotstar
Action fans can catch the latest episodes of A Shop for Killers Season 2 on JioHotstar. Episodes 3 and 4 were released on July 29.

The new season follows Jeong Ji-an, who has now taken charge of Murthehelp, an online marketplace secretly supplying weapons to assassins. As she battles the dangerous organisation Babylon, she reunites with her uncle Jeong Jin-man, played once again by Lee Dong-wook. With a bounty placed on Ji-an, the danger continues to grow as new enemies enter the story.

5. Spooky in Love – Netflix
Netflix continues to expand its K-drama library with new episodes of Spooky in Love. Episode 5 arrives on August 1, followed by Episode 6 on August 2.

The supernatural romance stars Park Eun-bin and Yang Se-jong. The story follows a woman who has been able to see ghosts ever since a tragic accident during her college days. Her unusual ability eventually leads her to cross paths with a prosecutor investigating mysterious cases. As they work together, romance develops alongside a larger mystery involving unexplained deaths.

6. The Apartment Job – Netflix
Also returning this weekend is The Apartment Job on Netflix, with Episodes 7 and 8 releasing on August 1 and August 2.

The K-drama features Ji Sung in a refreshing role as a former gang leader who enters his apartment residents' association hoping to solve his financial problems. However, his simple plan takes an unexpected turn when he uncovers corruption inside the housing complex. Instead of making easy money, he gradually becomes the unlikely protector of his neighbourhood.
