Khan's old friend revealed he saw star enjoying biryani while his scalp was being subjected to a PRP process
While on screen, he is known for his fierce aura, off-screen Bollywood’s resident Bhai is popular for his chill persona. Film producer Shailendra Singh recently revealed how the ‘Dabangg’ star remained calm and composed and gorged on a plate of biryani while he had his scalp injected with platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy at his home - Galaxy Apartments. He also recalled how the superstar had a peculiar tendency of looking at the mirror while he ate.

“I went to Salman for a meeting at his place in Galaxy Apartments. In those days, we used to have Monday night parties. He was sitting at the dining table, eating, and looking at himself in the mirror. He likes to eat while looking in the mirror. There’s a small table in the kitchen with a mirror in front, so you’re sitting next to him, but you’re actually talking through the mirror," he told Cyrus Broacha.

Singh recounted an unusual incident involving Salman Khan, saying the evening took an unexpected turn when a medical professional entered the room in the middle of their conversation. According to him, Salman was enjoying a plate of biryani, something he particularly liked after having a few drinks, when a man carrying medical supplies quietly arrived.

Shailendra remembered watching the scene unfold in disbelief as the visitor wore protective gloves, prepared a syringe, and began administering injections into Salman's scalp without disrupting the ongoing conversation. The unexpected procedure left him puzzled, and he admitted he had no idea what was happening.
Unable to contain his curiosity, Shailendra asked Salman about the treatment. The actor casually responded that maintaining stardom often comes with sacrifices and continued eating his meal while the procedure was completed, appearing completely unfazed by the injections.

Later, Shailendra learned that Salman had been receiving Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, a cosmetic treatment designed to encourage hair growth. The procedure uses platelet-rich plasma extracted from a person's own blood to stimulate hair follicles and improve hair density.

Reflecting on the experience, Shailendra admitted he was unfamiliar with PRP therapy at the time. He noted that the treatment has since become increasingly common, adding that many celebrities, including Hrithik Roshan, are believed to undergo similar procedures. He remarked that such treatments have become a popular option for people experiencing hair thinning as they age.

Friendship That Dates Back Decades

This is not the first occasion on which Shailendra has spoken publicly about his long-standing bond with Salman. Earlier this year, during a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, he shared memories from the period before Salman rose to become one of Bollywood's biggest stars.

According to Shailendra, their friendship began when he was living in Cuffe Parade. During those years, Salman frequently visited the neighborhood to meet his then-girlfriend, Shaheen Jaffery.

Looking back on those days, Shailendra described Salman as someone with a kind and generous nature who often led with his emotions. At the same time, he observed that the actor's circle of acquaintances had changed considerably over the years and suggested that some of the people around him were quite different from those he had known in the past.
