Jacqueline Fernandez looks radiant at 40. The diva is known, not just for her dance moves, but also being a fitness icon. In an interview with the Decca Chronicle, Sandhya Kumar, a chef and food stylist, who once worked for the Murder 2 star, revealed what she ate to maintain her svelte figure.

Fernandez, she said followed a balanced diet, where she ate clean and completely avoided sugar and processed foods. Her diet compromised of proteins, healthy fats and complex carbs like brown rice and quinoa.

Fernandez follows a carefully planned eating routine that focuses on nourishing, plant-based, and minimally processed foods. Her mornings typically begin with a cup of bullet coffee, prepared using freshly brewed espresso blended with organic ghee, cinnamon, and coconut MCT oil. This energy-boosting drink is followed by a nutritious breakfast of tofu scramble served with leafy greens, accompanied by wellness shots made from apple cider vinegar mixed with turmeric, ginger, and paprika.

For lunch, she often opts for a light yet satisfying meal of zucchini noodles tossed with a pesto crafted from sunflower and sesame seeds, offering a healthy alternative to traditional pasta. Between meals, she keeps hunger at bay with a small portion of dried fruits, assorted nuts, and nutrient-rich seeds, providing a steady supply of healthy fats and protein. Dinner is usually eaten by 7 p.m. and consists of something warm, comforting, and easy to digest, such as a bowl of roasted cauliflower soup.

Fresh Local Ingredients on the Road

Sandhya recalled one of Jacqueline's film shoots in Himachal Pradesh during the winter months, where the region's abundance of seasonal vegetables made it easy to prepare fresh, wholesome meals. She shared that she regularly visited nearby farmers' markets to personally select the freshest leafy greens and vegetables for the actor. Choosing locally grown produce was an experience she particularly enjoyed, as it allowed her to incorporate fresh, seasonal ingredients into Jacqueline's meals.

Even while travelling for work, the team ensured that essential pantry staples were always within reach. They routinely packed items such as aromatic spices, nutrient-dense seeds, mixed nuts, healthy nut oils, quinoa, and other wholesome ingredients, making it possible to maintain Jacqueline's disciplined diet regardless of the shooting location.
