Ranbir has stepped into the shoes of Lord Ram

The trailer of Ramayana, the most-anticipated film of 2026, was unveiled on Thursday, delighting fans of the upcoming monumental epic. Fans went wild with Ranbir Kapoor’s solemn presence as Sri Ram, Yash’s larger-than-life Raavan, and maestro AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer’s musical scores and the visual design. The curiosity and chatter on Ramayana, which is geared for a grand theatrical release this November, are at an all-time high. Let us delve into the salary of the main players of this Rs 4,000 crore saga.

Salaries of the Ramayana Cast Reflect the Film’s Massive Scale

The upcoming Ramayana has become one of the most ambitious and expensive Indian film projects ever mounted, and the reported remuneration of its lead actors highlights the enormous scale of the production. According to information published by The Times of India, several members of the ensemble are receiving career-defining pay packages, with many significantly increasing their earnings compared to their earlier projects.

Ranbir Kapoor, who headlines the epic, is reportedly being paid Rs 75 crore for each installment, taking his total compensation to Rs 150 crore for the two-part saga. This represents a substantial jump from his previous projects. Reports from News18 and Bollywood Life indicated that he earned around Rs 25–30 crore for Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva. His remuneration increased further for the blockbuster Animal, where he is believed to have received approximately Rs 30–35 crore, along with an agreed share of the film’s profits. His reported Ramayana salary marks the highest payday of his career so far.

Sai Pallavi has also secured a remarkable increase in her earnings with the mythological franchise. As per The Times of India, the actress is expected to receive Rs 6 crore for each part, taking her overall compensation to Rs 12 crore. While her remuneration is considerably lower than that of some of the film’s biggest stars, it still represents a significant milestone in her career. The actress generally earned around Rs 2.5–3 crore for her South Indian films, while her reported fee for Thandel stood at Rs 5 crore, which was previously considered her biggest paycheck before joining Ramayana.

Kannada actor Yash, who portrays the antagonist Ravana, is reportedly among the highest-paid members of the cast. Reports suggest he is receiving Rs 100 crore for the two films combined. In addition to his acting remuneration, Yash is also believed to have negotiated a share of the profits because he is associated with the project as a co-producer. Earlier reports estimated that the actor earned around Rs 30–35 crore for the hugely successful KGF franchise.

Veteran star Sunny Deol, cast as Lord Hanuman, is reportedly earning Rs 20 crore for each installment, bringing his total fee to Rs 40 crore, according to The Times of India. The figure is similar to the remuneration he reportedly received after the blockbuster success of Gadar 2, which reaffirmed his commercial appeal at the box office.

Meanwhile, television actor Ravi Dubey, who has been cast as Lakshman, is expected to receive between Rs 2 crore and Rs 4 crore, according to reports cited by The Times of India. Although there is no confirmed total covering both installments, the reported amount is believed to be the biggest film paycheck of his career, marking a major leap from the earnings he previously commanded in the television industry and significantly boosting his standing in the film business.

As per an IMDb report, Ramayana will hit the big screens in November 2026.
