As per a report by the Official Humans of Bombay, the Mumbai woman was forced to become the sole breadwinner of the family when her husband suffered from a major health scare. She has been doing the job for 10 years, chasing one dream from the bottom of her heart - to buy a home for her family.

The Mumbai woman revealed that even as a kid, she worked odd jobs to support her parents. After school, she spent hours at the printing press or in a factory, just to earn a little more. After getting married at 19, she moved to a village with her husband and welcomed two kids - a daughter and a son. Her days typically revolved around farming and raising her children, hoping to give them a future she never had.

A decade of deliveries, one dream

The woman thought that her troubles were finally over after her husband secured a job in Mumbai. But when his health declined, the financial responsibility fell on her. Since the Mumbai woman already knew how to ride a bike, a friend suggested her to try food delivery through Zomato. Initially, she found herself alone alongside hundreds of male delivery partners, but every time a customer gave her an encouraging smile, she found the courage to keep going.

One delivery turned into hundreds and hundreds turned into thousands. The Mumbai woman used her hard-earned money to pay for her daughter’s wedding, and her job also helped her to buy the first car for his son. Now, with the dream of living in her own home, the woman continues to wear the same helmet, carry the same delivery bag, and ride through the streets of Mumbai every day, delivering food to countless homes.
