Music star Megan Moroney had to end her Denver concert early on Tuesday night, July 28, after falling ill during her performance at Ball Arena. The singer performed only three songs before leaving the stage and later informed fans that she was unable to complete the show.

Moroney was in Denver as part of her Cloud 9 Tour, which supports her Billboard 200 chart-topping third studio album. According to various published reports, the singer initially stepped away from the stage after feeling unwell before returning to apologise to fans and explain her decision.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Moroney wrote that cancelling the show was the hardest decision she had ever made. She said she never wanted to deliver a performance that was not at 100% and realised by the third song that she was not capable of giving fans the experience they deserved.


The singer also shared that she was emotional backstage, saying she was crying in her dressing room because disappointing her fans was extremely painful.

Megan Moroney announces new Denver concert date

Fans who attended Tuesday night’s show will not lose their tickets. According to Billboard, a new date has been scheduled for August 27, with all tickets from the cancelled Ball Arena performance remaining valid for the rescheduled concert.

Ball Arena was the first to confirm the cancellation, stating that Moroney was unable to continue her performance due to illness. The venue apologised for the inconvenience and said further updates would be provided as soon as possible.

Megan Ann Moroney is an American country music singer and songwriter from Douglasville, Georgia. She first gained attention with her single Hair Salon, which appeared on her debut EP Pistol Made of Roses. Her breakthrough came with Tennessee Orange, the first single from her debut album Lucky. The song reached number 10 on the US Hot Country Songs chart and helped establish her career in country music.

Lucky, released in May 2023, entered the top 40 of the Billboard 200. She followed it with her second album Am I Okay? in July 2024, with the singles Am I Okay? and No Caller ID reaching numbers 34 and 58 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively.
