Inside Kangana's mountain retreat
Kangana's Manali home has been making headlines for years. According to earlier reports, the actor purchased the property after the success of her film Queen. NDTV reports suggest she initially invested around Rs 10 crore, then spent another Rs 20 crore over the years to turn it into her dream home, bringing the total investment to nearly Rs 30 crore.Situated around 2,000 metres above sea level, the mansion is surrounded by lush greenery and offers sweeping views of the Himalayan mountains. The property reportedly features eight bedrooms, each with its own balcony overlooking the hills. It also includes a rooftop glass conservatory that allows plenty of natural sunlight to enter during the winter months.
The interiors strike a balance between luxury and warmth. One of the bedrooms features all-white décor inspired by Victorian-era design, complemented by elegant wooden furniture and soft pink accents. Every piece of furniture has been carefully selected to create a cohesive look while maintaining a cosy atmosphere.
The home also includes a wooden staircase lined with family photographs, adding a personal touch to the space. In an earlier interview, Kangana had described the house as more than just a peaceful retreat. She had said that although she initially imagined it as a quiet getaway, it eventually became the perfect place to host family and friends. She had also shared that her father closely supervised the purchase and renovation of the property.
Other highlights include a yoga room with hardwood flooring, a spacious living room with wooden ceilings, and large windows that allow natural light to flood the interiors. A floral rug anchors the living space, while a separate glass room provides uninterrupted views of the surrounding mountains. Furnished with comfortable seating, the space is designed for entertaining guests while making the most of the scenic landscape.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana Ranaut is preparing for Queen 2, the sequel to her 2014 hit film Queen. The actor recently shared pictures from the film's set as the team celebrated the completion of a shooting schedule with a cake-cutting ceremony.
