Jana Nayagan box office collection day-wise
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 28.50 crore net in India on Saturday, marking a 34.8% increase over its Day 2 collection of Rs 21.15 crore. With this, the Vijay-starrer has collected Rs 92.35 crore net in India in just three days and is now on the verge of entering the coveted Rs 100 crore club.The strong Day 3 performance has also boosted the film's global earnings. Jana Nayagan has collected Rs 108.34 crore gross in India after three days. Overseas, the film added another Rs 20 crore gross on Saturday, taking its international total to Rs 63.50 crore.
Combining domestic and overseas collections, the film's worldwide gross has now reached Rs 171.84 crore within three days of release. The movie was screened across 12,299 shows on Saturday.
Among the different language versions, the Tamil version remained the biggest contributor with Rs 24.40 crore net on Day 3. The Hindi version collected Rs 2.70 crore, while the Telugu version added Rs 1.40 crore to the overall total.
Tamil Nadu continued to be the film's strongest market, contributing Rs 20 crore gross on Saturday alone. Karnataka followed with Rs 4.75 crore gross, while the rest of India contributed Rs 4 crore. Kerala added Rs 2.50 crore, and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together brought in Rs 2.09 crore, taking the film's India gross for the day to Rs 33.34 crore.
Occupancy improves throughout the day
The film witnessed a noticeable improvement in occupancy as the day progressed, especially in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil version recorded an overall occupancy of 61.04% on Saturday.Morning shows opened at 42.92%, but audience turnout steadily increased through the day. Afternoon occupancy rose to 59.31%, evening shows reached 67%, and night shows recorded an impressive 74.92%, indicating strong word-of-mouth and weekend footfall.
The Hindi version also showed gradual improvement. It registered an overall occupancy of 16.39%, starting with just 7.08% in the morning before climbing to 27% during the night shows.
Similarly, the Telugu version posted an overall occupancy of 22.58%. It began with 15.64% occupancy in the morning and improved to 30.18% by the final shows of the day.
