Nayanthara explains why she avoids film promotions
Although Nayanthara is one of the biggest names in the South film industry, she generally refrains from giving interviews and attending promotional events for her movies. Speaking at the Toxic trailer launch, the actress clarified that her absence from such events does not mean she does not want to participate in them.“It’s not that I don’t want to attend promotional events,” Nayanthara said. She then explained that she is “not very good at it”, which is why she generally chooses to stay away from promotional activities. Her candid admission offered an insight into why fans rarely see her at the promotional campaigns surrounding her films.
Why Nayanthara made an exception for Yash
Nayanthara’s appearance at the Toxic trailer launch was particularly notable because of her usual approach to film promotions. The actress revealed that she decided to make an exception for Yash, saying the occasion was special for “so many reasons”. However, she singled out her co-star when explaining what ultimately convinced her to attend.“I think it’s just Yash,” Nayanthara said, adding that he simply made a call and that “it was enough for me to attend the event”. Her appearance alongside Yash and the rest of the Toxic cast therefore marked a rare promotional outing for the actress.
