The final weekend of September is bringing a fresh mix of movies and series to streaming platforms. From Parineeti Chopra’s mystery thriller Shaque: Trust No One to Yash’s much-awaited Toxic, viewers have several new titles to explore across languages and genres. JioHotstar is bringing the crime thriller Hunkkaar: The Roar, while Prime Video is set to premiere the coming-of-age romantic comedy Don’t Be Shy. Meanwhile, Telugu, Tamil and dubbed releases add more variety to the lineup. Here’s a look at the OTT releases arriving this week.

Shaque: Trust No One

Shaque: Trust No One is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language mystery thriller television series written and directed by Rensil D'Silva. Produced by Siddharth P. Malhotra and Sapna Malhotra under Alchemy Productions, the series features Parineeti Chopra, Harleen Sethi, Jennifer Winget, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Soni Razdan, Chaitanya Choudhry, Sumeet Vyas and Anup Soni. The series is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on September 24, 2026. With its mystery-thriller storyline and ensemble cast, the series is among the new Hindi-language titles arriving on streaming platforms during the final weekend of September.

Habeebi

Language: Tamil film, Telugu dub
Release date: September 25

Habeebi, meaning “Beloved”, is a 2026 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama directed by Meera Kathiravan and written by V. S. Mohamed Ameen. The film stars Esha M, Kasthuri Raja and Malavika Manoj. Set in a Tamil Muslim neighbourhood in southern Tamil Nadu, the story revolves around a young couple whose relationship creates divisions within their community. The music has been composed by Sam C. S., while Mahesh Muthuswami serves as cinematographer and Mathi VS handles the editing. Habeebi was released in theatres on June 12, 2026, and its Telugu-dubbed version is scheduled to arrive on Sony LIV on September 25.

Hunkkaar: The Roar

Hunkkaar: The Roar is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language crime thriller television series directed by Nitya Mehra and Karan D. Kapadia. Produced by Applause Entertainment and Birla Studios in association with Mangata Films and Purple Pebble Pictures, the series stars Aneet Padda, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Arjun Mathur and Raghubir Yadav. The series is scheduled to premiere on JioHotstar on September 25, 2026. With its crime-thriller genre and ensemble cast, Hunkkaar: The Roar adds another Hindi original to the streaming lineup arriving as September draws to a close.

Don’t Be Shy follows Shyamili ‘Shy’ Das, a 20-year-old who believes she has her entire life figured out. From internships and scholarships to an MBA and marriage, she has carefully planned her future, but her relationships begin to disrupt those plans. Aarushi Bajaj plays Shy, alongside Piyush Khati as Mayank, Bianca Arora as Tara and Ansh Duggal as Dhruv. The coming-of-age romantic comedy explores first love, heartbreak, friendship and questionable decisions.

The film stars Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Shravan Reddy, Ulka Gupta and Jovika Vijayakumar in pivotal roles. The supernatural thriller brings together a story driven by mystery and eerie elements, with M. S. Raju serving as both writer and director. Agadha is scheduled to arrive on ZEE5 on September 25, adding a Telugu-language supernatural title to the week's OTT lineup.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is a 2026 Indian psychological thriller and gangster film directed by Geetu Mohandas. The film is jointly produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash through KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. It stars Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. The project was announced in December 2023 under the tentative title Yash 19, marking Yash's 19th film as a leading actor. The official title was revealed shortly afterwards. The film is reportedly budgeted at Rs 500 crore to Rs 1,000 crore. Its September 25 OTT release is currently rumoured.
