Evil Dead Burn OTT release date: When and where to watch Sébastien Vaniček’s popular 2026 horror movie in India

The much-awaited horror film of 2026 Evil Dead Burn in gearing up for digital release. Directed by Sébastien Vaniček and produced by Sam Raimi, this movie is the sixth installment in the Evil Dead franchise. Following a grieving widow and an accidental Deadite outbreak, the film, released in theatres on July 10, 2026, earned a 71% on Rotten Tomatoes. Now, we have an update regarding the OTT release.

Streaming details of Evil Dead Burn

Evil Dead Burn will start streaming on HBO Max on Friday, October 2. The film will also air on HBO’s network channel on Saturday, October 3, at 8 p.m. ET. At the time of reporting, the original Evil Dead (1981), Evil Dead 2 (1987) and Evil Dead Rise (2023) are also available to stream on HBO Max. According to reports, Evil Dead Burn is streaming on Zee5 in India.

According to Variety, the movie is among the major horror releases of the year and will now make its streaming debut ahead of Halloween.

What is Evil Dead Burn about?

Directed by Sébastien Vaniček, Evil Dead Burn stars Souheila Yacoub, known for Dune: Part Two, in the lead role. She plays a woman who turns to her in-laws for support after the death of her husband.

However, what begins as a family gathering at a secluded house soon takes a terrifying turn. The family members are transformed into Deadites, forcing the characters to fight against the demonic entities.

The cast also includes Hunter Doohan from Wednesday and Daredevil: Born Again, Luciane Buchanan from The Night Agent, Tandi Wright, Erroll Shand, George Pullar and Maude Davey.

Created by Sam Raimi, the Evil Dead franchise has expanded across six films and a television series. The story revolves around characters who encounter Deadites, demonic creatures brought to life through the mysterious Book of the Dead.

The original trilogy featured Bruce Campbell in The Evil Dead (1981), Evil Dead II (1987) and Army of Darkness (1992). The franchise later continued with Evil Dead (2013), followed by the television series Ash vs Evil Dead, which ran from 2015 to 2018.

The fifth film, Evil Dead Rise, was released in 2023.
