The platform's name was also reportedly shown in the film's opening credits during its theatrical release, hinting that Netflix will be the streaming home for the film. According to reports, Cocktail 2 is expected to premiere on August 14, 2026. The story follows Kunal (Shahid Kapoor) and Diya (Rashmika Mandanna), who have been in a long-term relationship and are living together. To get away from constant questions about marriage from their families, the couple heads to Sicily for a vacation.

During the trip, they meet Ally (Kriti Sanon), who is Diya's close friend. Things begin to change after Diya starts questioning Kunal's honesty and commitment. She asks Ally to flirt with him and test his loyalty. What starts as a simple plan soon turns into an emotional love triangle after Ally develops genuine feelings for Kunal, leaving all three of them dealing with unexpected emotions.
