Balasubramanian gets extension as MD of City Union Bank

MUMBAI: Private sector lender City Union Bank today said S Balasubramanian has been reappointed as its Managing Director and CEO for a period of three months effective today.

The decision was taken during a meeting of the bank's board on January 30, City Union Bank ( CUB) said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

"...the board at its meeting held on January 30 has taken on record the reappointment of S Balasubramanian as Managing Director and CEO of the bank for a further period of three months with effect from January 31, 2011," it said.

Balasubramanian has been serving on the same position since 2009.
