JetSynthesys has announced that the third season of the Global e-Cricket Premier League (GEPL) will be broadcast in India and North America, marking the tournament's first international television expansion.

Season 3 will be telecast live on Star Sports Select and Star Sports Khel and streamed on JioHotstar in India from August 1 to August 9. The league will also make its international broadcast debut on Willow TV across the United States and Canada, where it will be available on the Willow Sports FAST platform as well as Willow's direct-to-consumer platforms.

The move marks a key milestone for the franchise-based e-cricket league, as it seeks to expand the reach of India's homegrown esports intellectual property to overseas cricket audiences.

The tournament will feature six hours of live action daily from 4 pm to 10 pm. According to the company, the partnership with Willow TV will bring GEPL to one of the largest cricket-following diaspora populations outside the Indian subcontinent.

The international expansion follows the league's second season, when GEPL became the first e-cricket competition to secure a television broadcast alongside the Indian Premier League season on Star Sports and JioHotstar. JetSynthesys said Season 2 generated more than 174 million impressions.

"When we launched GEPL, e-cricket had no stage in India and little recognition as a competitive sporting discipline. Season 2 changed that by bringing the league to millions of viewers through national television. With Willow TV, we are now taking the next step by introducing India's homegrown e-cricket league to passionate cricket audiences across the United States and Canada," JetSynthesys Chairman Rajan Navani said.

He added that the international broadcast marked the beginning of India's digital sporting intellectual property reaching global audiences and aligned with the company's vision of making India a creator and exporter of interactive entertainment.

GEPL Season 3 will be played on Real Cricket, a mobile cricket game that has crossed 400 million lifetime downloads. The competition will feature eight franchises battling for a prize pool of Rs 3.1 crore at the Jairaj Sports and Convention Centre in Pune.

The season also sees two new franchise owners joining the league. Singer Sonu Nigam will own the Kolkata Hawks, while gaming personality Tanmay Singh, popularly known as Scout, will own the Gujarat Wolves.

Returning franchise owners include Peyush Bansal (Delhi Sharks), Nikhil Kamath, Ankit Nagori and Prashanth Prakash (Bengaluru Badgers), Sara Tendulkar (Mumbai Grizzlies), Suniel Shetty (Pune Stallions), Gopal Srinivasan, Madhusudanan R and Arjun Santhanakrishnan (Chennai Falcons), and Amit Mehta (Hyderabad Rhinos).
