Mumbai: Senco Gold and Diamonds is targeting over 25 per cent revenue growth to Rs 10,500-11,000 crore this financial year, a top company executive has said.

Currently, the company has around 190 stores and plans to add around 20 more in 2026-27, of which 12-13 will be on a franchise model, and 6-7 will be company-owned, Senco Gold and Diamonds Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Suvankar Sen told PTI.

"This expansion is expected to add to the company's revenue, which we expect to grow by over 25 per cent, making it around Rs 10,500-11,000 crore this financial year. In FY26, the company clocked Rs 8,430 crore revenue," Sen added.

The company is also looking at a franchise model for expansion and strategic company-owned stores across tier II and III cities.

Sen said the expansion through the franchise model will bring down the company's capital expenditure to around Rs 200-250 crore in FY27.

"The capex is for the company's working capital, inventory and company-owned stores. We are raising it through internal accruals and debt," he added.

When it came to geography, the Kolkata-headquartered company is focused on strengthening its presence in the eastern region, followed by the north, west and south.

"As we are from the eastern region and have built a legacy through generations, building on consumer trust, we will continue to focus on the eastern region of the country. Around 60-70 per cent of our revenue comes from the east.

"Next is the north, from where we get around 10 per cent of the revenue, and the rest is from the west and the south together. Moreover, traditionally the south and the west have many players, presenting a huge opportunity in the east and the north markets," Sen stated.

When it came to overseas presence, Sen said the company has two stores in Dubai and has plans for further expansion in the region. However, due to the current crisis in West Asia, plans are stalled as of now.
