Popular YouTuber EDP445, whose real name is Bryant Moreland, was arrested on Wednesday, October 4, according to TMZ. Moreland was arrested from Nevada’ Las Vegas, Nevada. He was then charged with multiple fenolines, including sex crime, TMZ further reported.

The former internet personality was arrested by Las Vegas police. He is now set to be extradited to California’s Kern County, the county’s District Attorney told the publication. The DA’s office had earlier reopened their case into Moreland in August.

How did a documentary lead to EDP445’s arrest?

Director Mike Clum, in 2026 released a documentary titled ‘The Sick Mind of EDP445’, with Moreland as the prime focus. The film follows the day-to-day life of the former YouTuber after he lost his platform. It also features famous television personality Chris Hansen, who hosted the show ‘How to Catch a Predator’. It delves into how Hansen's show went on to inspire online sting operations, including the one involving Moreland in 2021.

The documentary further dove into Moreland’s attempts to solicit minors, and an attempt to meet a 13-year-old girl. In one clip of the film, Hansen asks the former YouTuber, “You were trying to have sex with a 13-year-old girl?”. Moreland responded with “For the most part, yep.”

The documentary also included Moreland discussing sexual feelings towards a 15-year-old in 2023. He further revealed that he had sent them explicit photos and videos.

What was the 2021 Bakersfield?

The 2021 sting led to Moreland losing his platform and became a major story online. During the incident, another YouTuber, Alex Rosen pretended to be a 13-year-old girl in April 2021. Following their communication, Moreland arrived at a Bakersfield apartment complex.

At the complex he was confronted by Rosen and several others involved in the sting. The 2026 documentary showed screenshots of sexually explicit messages and photos that Moreland had sent to the “13-year-old”.

In his documentary, Clum has also highlighted that Moreland never faced any legal action over the 2021 sting. According to Bakersfield Now, Clum said, “So while he didn’t face any legal consequences due to the way the sting operation was handled, he received a massive amount of public backlash and was getting fired from jobs.”

Following the documentary’s release, the Kern County District Attorney’s Office reopened their case into Moreland. The DA’s Office said to TMZ that it was Moreland’s comments in the documentary that led to the charges.
