Katie Zacharia speaks during her first White House press briefing on October 13, 2026, where she accidentally referred to her husband as “my president” before correcting herself.
The momentum quickly gained attention online and users started criticizing her for her appearance. Even former White House press secretary Jen Psaki reacted to Zacharia’s briefing on X, calling it “basically an SNL skit.”
During her debut, Katie said, “We have four kids, ranging from 12, 10, 8, and 6. Three of them are boys.” She further explained, “We have a handful. President Trump is the most family-friendly President we’ve ever had. He has hired more women with families, and the fact that he knew I had four kids and knew that this job would be demanding and still placed his trust in me, shows that I know I’m capable of being able to step up to that.”
