In May 2026, Talarico appeared in the Jamie Kern Lima podcast. When asked whether he had a girlfriend, he confirmed that he was in a relationship. He described her as his "rock" and "best friend." He said he did not know whether he could have got through the previous six of the intense Senate campaign without her support.

Talarico said he wanted to protect her identity, family and friends because they had not chosen to enter politics. During the same podcast, he also spoke about wanting to become a father someday.

Meanwhile, his decision not to publicly identify his girlfriend became a subject of jokes among conservative media personalities.

Who is his girlfriend?

In May, the New York Post identified Talarico's girlfriend as Brianna Menard. Menard previously worked as his chief of staff and later for Taxes state representative Salman Bhojani. She is a political lobbyist and serves on the board of Austin's Wheatsville Food Co-op.

According to the New York Post, the couple met in 2022 and began dating in January 2023. Brianna Menard is reportedly a vegan, while Talarico is not. His campaign spokesman even joked that Talarico had never been vegan, despite his girlfriend's dietary preferences. Her vegan lifestyle subsequently became another talking point among conservative commentators and social media users.
