Card shared his experience in early October after visiting the restaurant regularly for more than a year. His video drew thousands of views, bringing attention to his complaint about the steak he received.
Texas Roadhouse Customer Kenneth Card Questions His Steak Order
Card reportedly visited the Forsyth location about once a week and had developed a rapport with its staff. He has previous work in hotel and restaurant kitchens, where he prepared and cut steaks, helped him distinguish between different cuts of meat. He said, “You name it, I’ve done it and so whenever I go out to eat I know what I get,” as quoted by BroBible. The first time he believed his order was wrong, the staff replaced the steak with a filet mignon. During a subsequent visit, he said he ate the steak without raising the issue.
When he noticed the same problem again, Card spoke to a manager. According to his account, staff took the steak away for a second opinion and confirmed it was not the cut he had ordered. He waited for a replacement, asked to take it home and recorded his video after returning home.

Kenneth Card Warns Viewers
Kenneth Card warned people on TikTok, saying, “Y’all be careful of what you’re ordering and what you pay for, because sometimes you order a filet, you be getting a sirloin and it’s like $10 steak versus 35, whatever,” adding, “Y’all be careful.”Filet Mignon Costs More Than Sirloin at the Restaurant
The price difference was the main highlight of Card’s complaint. At the Forsyth location, an eight-ounce filet mignon costs about $30, while an eight-ounce sirloin costs roughly $20, as per restaurant’s website cited by Fox News Digital.Card said he wanted customers to know they could be receiving a different cut from the one they paid for. He also pointed to the difference in texture, describing filet mignon as very tender and sirloin as chewier.
The video prompted discussion among viewers, including questions about why Card continued visiting the restaurant after his first experience.
What Texas Roadhouse Said About the Complaint
Texas Roadhouse said it was aware of Card’s video and had looked into the allegations. A company spokesperson told Fox News Digital that it had “not been able to track that this occurred on three occasions,” but confirmed that one mix-up had been corrected at the restaurant.Customers who believe they received the wrong steak or were charged incorrectly should alert their server while they are still at the restaurant, the spokesperson said, giving staff an opportunity to address the issue.

Customer Says He Will Try Somewhere Else
Card said he had not expected his video to attract so much attention. He also made clear that he does not plan to return to the Forsyth location, saying, “I think I'm done going in there. I'll try somewhere else.”The Economic Times Business News App for the Latest News in Business, Sensex, Stock Market Updates & More.
