Taylor Swift's Nashville Education Center: What to see before the art show closes in 2027
In Nashville, Tennessee, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is home to the Taylor Swift Education Center, a space showcasing music memorabilia, interactive learning experiences, and artwork created by local students and community members. One of its current highlights is Connection, an exhibition of posters created by students and artists with developmental disabilities. With the posters set to remain on display until spring 2027, visitors can explore the exhibition along with the centre's other educational attractions.

What Is the Taylor Swift Education Center?

The Taylor Swift Education Center has two floors and covers around 7,500 square feet within the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Its facilities are a gallery, classrooms, a studio, a videoconference lab, interpretive materials and interactive experiences created for visitors of different ages.

The centre provides curriculum-based activities for school groups, programmes for toddlers, and music and art experiences for families. Since 2014, it has also hosted curated art exhibitions featuring students from Metro Nashville Public Schools. Their work draws inspiration from visits to the museum's galleries and workshops with artists.

The centre's displays delve into the communities that form around music and art. These are Dolly Parton's connection to literacy, Taylor Swift's community of fans, and the Gee's Bend community of quiltmakers, whose work has inspired local artistic creations.

Taylor Swift Memorabilia on Display

Visitors can explore objects linked to various periods of Swift's music career. The centre's displays are artefacts from her music video for The Fate of Ophelia, the first video released from her album The Life of a Showgirl.

The display also features a Hatch Show Print poster connected with Swift's sold-out Fearless Tour performance at Gillette Stadium in 2010, alongside the Taylor guitar she played during that tour. The concert, held on June 5, 2010, was her first headlining stadium show.

What Is the Connection Exhibition?

The Connection exhibition features posters created by students from Metro Nashville Public Schools and artists connected with Friends Life Community, a nonprofit organisation that supports adults with developmental disabilities.

Developed in collaboration with Hatch Show Print, the project launches participants to the history and creative approaches of traditional letterpress printing. They then use what they learn to generate their own posters, combining photos, words and lettering to express ideas regarding creativity and social causes.

How Hatch Show Print Inspired Local Artists

Hatch Show Print has functioned as a working letterpress shop since 1879. Its collection of vintage type and hand-carved imagery has helped produce unique designs celebrating American cultural life.

Students from Cane Ridge High School, Hume-Fogg High School, Stratford High School and Nashville School of the Arts participated in a half-day tour and workshop organised with Metro Nashville Public Schools.

During the visit, students learned about the shop's history, explored design principles and analyzed how letterpress printing works. They created shapes with foam and sponges, printed those forms and used the results as inspiration for their finished posters.

Interactive Activities for Visitors

The education centre provides more than static displays. Visitors can step into a recording booth, choose from four iconic tracks and create a video to share on social media.

Another feature is a wall displaying Swift's 16 Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) plaques along with 29 recently released and certified country albums, as of July 31, 2025.

The combination of memorabilia and hands-on activities enables visitors to explore the relationship between music, performance and creative expression.

Admission and When to Visit

All displays and hands-on activities in the Taylor Swift Education Center are included with museum admission. The gallery is open during museum hours, enabling visitors to explore Swift's memorabilia, community artwork and interactive experiences as part of their visit.

Those especially interested in Connection should plan to see the exhibition before its scheduled closing in spring 2027.

From historic letterpress techniques to contemporary student artwork and objects from Swift's career, the education centre brings together various forms of cultural expression.
