Sean Combs FCI Allenwood transfer: What led to Sean Combs' Fort Dix transfer following his head injury and prison rules violations?
The transfer follows reports of a medical emergency, along with claims about rule violations during his time at Fort Dix. The information is raken from The New York Times, TMZ and ComingSoon.
Sean Combs FCI Allenwood transfer
A Federal Bureau of Prisons representative confirmed the transfer to Entertainment Weekly but declined to explain the reason.“We can confirm that Sean Combs transferred to FCI Allenwood Low on Friday, October 16, 2026. For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual in our custody, including reasons for transfer.”
Diddy's representative, Juda Engelmayer, also addressed the move, stressing that both facilities have low-security classifications.
TMZ reported that the transfer came after Combs was taken by ambulance for medical treatment. The outlet also reported that he had received multiple write-ups at Fort Dix for phone violations and fights. According to TMZ, he was sent to the prison's Special Housing Unit twice for rule-breaking.
However, the exact reason for the latest transfer remains unknown.
What happened before the Sean Combs FCI Allenwood transfer
Reports of Combs' head injury emerged after an incident on October 10. TMZ first reported that he had been taken for treatment and returned to the federal facility later that day. Deadline and People also reported on the incident.Engelmayer told Entertainment Weekly, “We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances.”
Reports of prison violations add to the scrutiny
NBC News reported that Combs was placed in solitary confinement after contraband was discovered on him. The outlet also reported claims that other inmates had cooked and cleaned for him and given him massages.TMZ reported that Combs lost 41 days of good-time credit, which can help prisoners secure an earlier release, as well as 400 days of commissary privileges.
The outlet noted that Allenwood has around 1,000 inmates, compared with roughly 4,000 at Fort Dix, raising the possibility that the smaller facility could make it easier for staff to monitor his safety. That explanation, however, has not been confirmed by prison officials.
For now, the Bureau of Prisons has confirmed the transfer but has not publicly explained the decision. The circumstances surrounding Combs' reported injury also remain unclear.
