Justin Verlander and Kate Upton bought a Beverly Hills mansion for $5.25 million in 2016; 6 years later, they sold it for $11 million
Justin Verlander and Kate Upton sold their Beverly Hills mansion for $11 million in 2022, more than double the $5.25 million they paid for it in 2016. The couple owned the house for six years.

The price went up by $5.75 million, which means it sold for about 2.1 times what they paid. That isn’t their profit. The online reports don’t include agent fees, taxes or any money the couple put into the house, so the real gain is unknown.
The house is 5,521 square feet. That works out to about $951 per square foot when they bought it and about $1,992 when they sold it. The reports don’t say why the price rose so much.

The home was built in 1976 and sits on a gated 1.5-acre lot in Benedict Canyon. It has four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The grounds include rose gardens, a tennis court, a pool and a spa.
Several well-known people have owned it before; musician Kenny G, tennis player Pete Sampras, actress Kate Jackson, TV producer and director William Asher, and Batman producer Jon Peters.
The couple bought the house in 2016 and married in 2017. They have two children, a daughter named Genevieve and a son named Bellamy.
Verlander has pitched for the Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, New York Mets and San Francisco Giants, and he is now heading toward retirement. He chose New York as the family’s home base, and in 2023, a year after the Beverly Hills sale, he and Upton bought a penthouse on the Upper East Side.
Upton told AD in 2026 that nothing in the apartment is off-limits. In her words, anything the kids can get into can get dirty. She said the family lives hard in the space, and it still looks great.
