A leaker known as Cyberleek has threatened to release an entire playable build of Grand Theft Auto 6 if a cryptocurrency token associated with the name reaches a market capitalization of $30 million.

Cyberleek, who has been uploading footage from the game since August, recently came back from a hiatus and apparently released 25 minutes of footage involving co-protagonist Jason. Since the video involved a naked Jason, it was the main discussion point on social media platforms, including some subreddits. Now the leaker has escalated the situation by threatening to publish the game's “full story mode,” its ending and credits.

In a post outlining the conditions, Cyberleek wrote: “CYBERLEEK hits 30 million marketcap, the build goes out – full story mode, played to the end, credits and all.”

The leaker also claimed that skeptics could request specific footage as proof that the build contains the complete story mode. Cyberleek said the publisher and the parent company of Rockstar Games Take-Two Interactive had another option to prevent the release: “physical disks and a public apology.” As to PC Gamer, the apology demand is “for not releasing it(GTA VI) on discs in the first place.

In the end, the post said that the publisher could accept the demand at any time or risk calling the leaker's bluff. “they can take it at any moment. Or they can gamble that CL is bluffing. Everyone knows which one they'll pick."

PC Gamer is convinced that Cyberleek has access to a playable version of GTA 6, citing previous leaks. In one such video ended with the word “LEEK” being fired into a wall using gunfire.

The timing could also matter for players waiting for the official launch. GTA 6 is scheduled to release on November 19 for consoles, and presumably, an early build would not necessarily offer the same experience as the finished game.

Cyberleek's identity to date is mysterious; we do not know if it is one individual or a group, or if it has any connection to RockStar.
