Candice Swanepoel and Joan Smalls' high profile friendship seems to be over now. Both the models have unfollowed each other on social media platforms. Their close relationship is around 15 years old. Both the celebrities have been Victoria's Secret supermodels for years. They have walked the ramp together. They seem to have been involved with the same person lately. He is retired NFL star Tom Brady. The dramatic love triangle is making headlines now.

How did the feud began?

All seemed to be well before reports in October this year claimed that Candice Swanepoel has been secretly dating Tom Brady since June 2026. This has resulted in a bitter feud among the models.


Joan and Tom Brady have been in a casual on and off relationship for around a year between 2023 and 2024, as per reports citing insiders. This happened after his divorce from another supermodel Gisele Bündchen in 2002.

When Joan was reportedly seeing Brady, Candice seems to have encouraged her to break things off with the former New England Patriots quarterback, a Page Six report said citing sources.

Candice reportedly argued with Smalls that she should not be involved with Brady as he is the former husband of their mutual friend and fellow Victoria's Secret model Gisele Bundchen. Joan felt completely betrayed when Candice was herself reported to be dating the retired NFL star, the reports added.

Joan Smalls shared a message about accountability on Instagram on Tuesday. “This Halloween, I am dressing up as accountability. Apparently, that’s the scariest thing some people can face,” the message said.

“And the disrespect and carelessness in how they treat you is so unimaginable. Some people don't have humility and moral compass. And the way they gaslight, lie and minimize your feelings is the worst slap in the face after 15 years or friendship. Not a sorry said or written. Onwards and upwards!!!,” it added.

Now, Smalls seems to be telling their friends to pick a side. She seems to have called her former friend a 'backstabber' too, Instagram account DeuxMoi said citing a deleted comment posted on social media.
