AEW wrestler Pac’s cause of death was revealed three weeks after his death was announced by the franchise. Edward Lewis of The California Post reported on Friday, October 16, that he died due to bronchial asthma, citing the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. As per Lewis, the manner of Pac’s death was “natural.”

Pac, the former AEW World Trios Champion whose real name was Benjamin Satterley, died last month on September 27 at the age of 40.

He was found passed out in a rental car outside of a restaurant, in Des Plaines, Illinois, around 4 pm local time on Sunday. Authorities arrived at the scene and later pronounced him dead.

Initial reporting on his death did not appear suspicious. The outlet cited a representative for local police who stated there are “no indications of foul play and the circumstances surrounding the death are not considered suspicious.”

When the police arrived, his phone was buzzing, and when it was answered, a woman from the other end told the officer that she knew Pac and had recently spoken to him.

She said that he was going for lunch at CAVA. After discovering his unconscious body, officers also found salvia on Satterley’s shirt and an undisclosed medication in his car, which was later “redacted” from the incident reports .

Satterley, less than 24 hours before his death, had a match with Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship at AEW All Out in Chicago.
