Who is Chloe Kim? Myles Garrett’s girlfriend gets candid about 'neurodevelopmental disorder' after years of struggles

For many years, Chloe Kim has amazed spectators through her incredible performances on the international stage. However, recently the Olympic snowboarder decided to talk about her private life and a difficult issue which she is experiencing away from the sports field. Kim, who is currently dating NFL star Myles Garrett, publicily announced that she was diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), a neurodevelopmental condition, after having trouble comprehending various aspects of her life for many years.

Already one of the most recognizable names in winter sports, Kim’s revelation has shocked many. Kim revealed the diagnosis when talking about her struggle with ADHD and how it has impacted her life. The revelation gave yet another insight into the individual behind one of the most recognizable names in winter sports.

Kim recently opened up about ADHD in an Instagram post, when she was asked what’s something she has learned about herself recently.


"Actually, I recently found out I have ADHD," Kim said.

"For years, I was struggling. But once I finally opened up to my doctor, it was like everything suddenly clicked."

WHO IS CHLOE KIM?

Long before her relationship with Garrett attracted attention, Kim had already established herself as one of snowboarding’s biggest stars. According to InStyle, Kim grew up in Torrance, California, and started snowboarding when she was just four years old. By 14, she had already made history by being the youngest athlete ever to claim gold in superpipe at the Winter X Games in 2015.

Her ultimate breakthrough came on the global platform of the Olympics. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Kim clinched the gold medal in women’s halfpipe at the age of 17. She retained her title at the 2022 Beijing Olympics and became the first female athlete to win back-to-back Olympic halfpipe gold medals. At the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, Kim won yet another medal - this time a silver one after finishing second to South Korea’s Choi Gaon.

Away from snowboarding, Kim has also shown another side of herself as she competed as Jellyfish on Season 4 of The Masked Singer in 2020, reaching the semifinals.

CHLOE KIM AND MYLES GARRETT’S RELATIONSHIP

Kim’s personal life has increasingly attracted attention because of her relationship with NFL star Garrett. As per InStyle magazine, the buzz surrounding their romantic relationship started when the couple went together to Crunchyroll Anime Awards in Tokyo, in May 2025. The duo have been supporting each other's professional journey ever since.

Garrett flew down to Italy to see Kim participating in 2026 Winter Olympics and celebrated with her after she won the silver medal. Kim has always supported Garrett through his NFL career journey.

Their relationship produced another memorable moment at the 2026 ESPYs. Kim presented the Best Record-Breaking Performance award, only to open the envelope and discover Garrett had won after setting the NFL single-season sack record with 23.

Now, by speaking candidly about her ADHD diagnosis after years of struggles, Kim is allowing fans to see another, deeply personal side of her life.
