Just five NBA games into his career, Grizzlies rookie Cameron Boozer is setting records. On Thursday, the 19-year-old Boozer turned in an incredible effort against the Portland Trail Blazers by securing his first career triple-double and breaking an age record held by none other than LeBron James. The fact that he achieved this milestone in just his fifth NBA game made this effort even more spectacular. The former Duke standout helped Memphis secure a convincing 124-103 victory against Portland to stay unbeaten in the season.

HOW DID CAM BREAK LEBRON'S LONGSTANDING NBA RECORD?

Boozer proved himself to be a complete player by scoring 18 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and dishing out 12 assists, thus becoming the second-youngest player in the history of NBA to score a triple-double.

At 19 years and 103 days, Boozer broke James' record for being the youngest forward to accomplish the feat. James accomplished his first triple-double at 20 years and 20 days in the 2004-05 season, according to NBA.com.

However, Boozer is still not the youngest player ever to achieve this feat. This record is held by Josh Giddey, who attained a triple-double at the age of 19 years and 84 days in January 2022.
