Savannah Bananas to kick off 2027 Banana Ball in Auburn, tour to go international for the 1st time with games in Canada and Mexico: Here’s how to get tickets

The Savannah Bananas have selected Auburn University to kick off their 2027 Banana Ball World Tour. The Plainman Park and Jordan-Hare Stadium will host all six Banana Ball teams for three games from February 25 to 27 in 2027.

Another exciting part of the schedule revealed on Thursday, October 15, is that the tour is set to go international for the first time ever. Games for the Championship League tour will be played in both Canada and Mexico.

The tour will be played in 79 stadiums across 74 cities in 2027. These include 23 Major League Baseball stadiums and 10 football stadiums, the Savannah Bananas owner Jessie Cole announced. He added that he could not have imagined the popularity of the Banana Ball when he launched the team in 2016. Five other teams were added for the 2026 schedule, with the original idea being to generate fan interest for baseball at the Grayson Stadium in Georgia’s Savannah.

Banana Ball goes international

The 2027 schedule for the tour includes stops in Mexico’s Monterrey on February 5 and 6, and Tijuana on February 12 and 13. The tour will also take four teams to Canada. They will play at the Rogers Centre in Toronto on August 14 and 15 and make two visits to Winnipeg on August 26 and August 28.

Among international dates, the Banana Ball is set to visit the Field of Dreams in Dyersville in Iowa, and Cooperstown in New York which is home to the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The schedule also includes conventional stops with the LSU’s Tiger Stadium and Tennessee Titan’s New Nissan Stadium.

“This was ten years in the making,” Cole said about the tour going international. “Fans have been talking about us going international for years and we have always said ‘not yet, not yet, not yet’,” he added. Cole further said that, “as the demand has grown, and we have continued to hear from multiple countries and multiple opportunities, we said the time is now”.

Banana Ball back at Disney World, documentary headed to Disney+ and Hulu

The Banana Ball is also returning to Walt Disney World in 2027. The Banana Ball Open will be played at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida as a four-day tournament. The event will take place from April 15 to 18 in 2027 with all six teams and four going head-to-head on the field.

To further excite fans, a music driven Banana Ball documentary is coming to Disney+ and Hulu in fall 2027. The documentary follows Banana Ball’s 10 year journey.

How to get tickets for the Banana Ball?

The tickets for the Banana Ball will be sold by the Bananas organization through an online lottery system. Fans are required to join the ticket lottery list by visiting BanabaBall.com/tickets . The lottery will close at 11:59 pm on October 31, 2026. Tickets start at $35.

The Banana Ball follows the basic rules of baseball, adding some exciting rule twists. The games are limited to two hours. All six teams compete to earn points and not runs. Fans can catch a four ball for an out, while ties are settled with a one-on-one showdown.
